This Private Barrel selected by the team at Hop, Cask & Barrel is a 9 Year Old expression bottled at a natural strength of 59.35% ABV (118.70pf). This bottling was selected in a blind line-up of single barrel samples of varying age and proof. A consensus was reached by our staff with the input of experts from our supplier of Heaven Hill. The barrel we chose is extremely expressive, wonderfully balanced, and finishes particularly gentle for the proof.

We get notes of butterscotch pudding, sweet oak, cinnamon and winter spices. The tasting experience is heightened with a drop of water, amplifying aromas while simultaneously softening the palate to display a smooth, yet powerful, delicious dram.
